Mark Stoneman looking forward to the banter from Aussies

Mark Stoneman, England's opening batsman, is eager for the verbal banter that Australia gonna exploit, in the five-match test series of prestigious Ashes.

Mark Stoneman, has to be the 12 man to open-up the Innings with Alastair Cock since the retirement of Andrew Straus. Stoneman made his way into the Ashes squad after his handy knock in the home season against West Indies.

Although Mark Stoneman hasn't done as well as he should, to retain the opening slot: who averaged only 30 with his solidarity half century. But, Stoneman has been regarded highly in the domestic circuit, and his experience playing in Australia stands as the major factors for the 30-year-old, selection.

“I‘m quite looking forward to it, see what the sledgers have got for us,” said Stoneman, as per quoted by Cricket World, who will be seen in a tour game against Western Australia XI on Saturday.

The chemistry with Cook
The new opener may have only opened with Cook for short while during the West Indies series, but, says Cook reads him well.

”It has only been a short while but I think he reads me quite well, too, from the other end as to whether he needs to give me a gee up or make me crack a smile.

“He’s quite funny actually. All the time that I only ever saw him on the telly he just looked like a guy who was very calm, but you can have a bit of banter with him and he judges the mood quite well.”
