Ishanth sharma having being played about 75 ODI internationals and over 68 test matches ,he is yet to make a mark of his own in international Cricket. Having been out of the one day team for some time now, he called up for Australian tour.
The tall right armer played his last one day game back in 9th December 2014 against srilanka, later he lost his place in the side with injuries and inconsistent form. It's always been issue with his consistency in either formats of the game. The selectors have been faithful for a long time because of his ability and his match turning moments at times.
Again he is back in the team for some consistent bowling in the test series against srilanka and South Africa, but the series against Australia won't be any easy for him. It will test his mental strength in handling pressure at death overs.
A lot will be held on his shoulders as the most experienced bowler in the team and shami being returning from an injury who has been pick of the bowlers in 2014-15 for the team. It won't be easy for him either to lead the bowling.
Although Ishanth need to prove his worth of experience in this series by leading the attack. This series hangs as an crunch situation for him for the future limited overs plans and also a head of WT20.
